Coach in Residence: Tailored Coaching Support for Schools.

Sustained, Embedded, and Responsive Coaching

The Coach in Residence model is the next step for schools committed to embedding coaching as a core part of their culture. Designed for schools that have already laid the foundation through our Every Conversation Programme (or equivalent coach training), this model provides ongoing, tailored, and in-the-moment support to ensure coaching becomes an integral part of school life.

Why Choose a Coach in Residence?

Coaching isn’t a one-time initiative—it’s a journey. Our Coach in Residence model ensures schools have the right support, at the right time, from experienced coaching specialists who understand the realities of school life.

Perfect for schools that:

  • Want to spread out their training rather than condensing it into one-off CPD.

  • Are on a pathway to embedding coaching and need continued guidance.

  • Value face-to-face, ongoing support over purely online or one-time in-person training.

  • Need a flexible, adaptable model that responds to their evolving needs.

This model is completely customisable, meaning schools can mix and match:

  • 1:1 coaching for staff and leaders.

  • Whole-school coaching initiatives.

  • Middle leader and SLT coaching.

  • Targeted support for specific teams or individuals.

How It Works: A Four-Step Approach.

Step 1: The Chat

You won’t be surprised to hear that we start with a conversation. We take the time to understand your context, goals, and challenges, ensuring our approach is tailored to your school’s specific needs.

(If you want the official term, it’s a consultation— but we prefer to keep things simple and human!)

Step 2: The Plan

Once we understand your needs, we design a bespoke coaching plan that outlines:

  • The scope of work over the year (big-picture overview).

  • A detailed breakdown of coaching, training, and support.

  • Key milestones for embedding coaching deeper into your school culture.

This plan ensures clarity, direction, and measurable impact.

Step 3: The Choice

At this stage, you have options:

  • Run with the plan independently, using our framework to guide your internal coaching approach.

  • Continue to work with us, choosing the level of support that fits your needs.

We know that schools evolve and needs shift, so flexibility is at the heart of our model.

Step 4: The Support

We ask schools to sign up for an appropriate level of ongoing support, knowing that additional support can be added as needed.

What makes this model unique?

  • Unused hours can roll over to the next month (up to one month).

  • Support is adaptable—we adjust based on your school’s real-time needs.

  • We provide a mix of in-person and virtual support for maximum flexibility.

See It in Action.
